Seven. The world's tiniest of hearts.

On the 14th of November 2017, we were told that her surviving kidney, had failed.

Keeping her alive on life support was only prolonging her pain and it was at this point we gave permission for it to end. Our girl took her journey to the stars, I wish she was able to meet the world, but her little hands managed to touch her families before she left in her rocket. The strongest, most resilient little girl whose short life changed many. Never underestimate the power of the world's tiniest of hearts, because those tiny hearts teach us the most about life.

I mean yes, I still have a sticky teary keyboard right now and feel somewhat emotionally exhausted, but I felt it was important to share. I’m not sure if I needed it for myself, but here it is.

We didn’t leave Alder Hey with our happy ending, but they gave us valuable time with Poppy and the staff there are nothing short of heroes.

But for now… About us? We’re a family of 4 with 2 badass little girls.
