The Poppy Rocket Challenge
The Poppy Rocket Challenge is a great fun-filled family day out and a 5km walk up to the top of Moel Famau with lots of motivation and friendly faces to help along the way.
Your day will be fuelled with plenty of water, tea, coffee, hot food, and, of course, plenty of cake.
The Walk starts at 11 am but registration opens at 10 am, so please give yourself enough time to sign up.
Feel free to take the walk at your own pace. We have a sweeper starting around 2 pm to make sure everyone is back safely.
Registration costs £2 including a goodie bag and your bib number. The rest of the day is free, all we ask is for donations for food and the Raffles.
All money raised goes directly to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
Thanks for reading cannot wait to see you there.
The Poppy Team
For Every Little Heart
This challenge was originally set up to celebrate Poppy, our first born daughter who’s short life changed many. From her strength, to the appreciation of growing old and for the funds raised in her honour for Alder Hey who daily, save and change the lives of so many children and families throughout the country. I can only feel honoured and humbled by the amount raised in honour of this little lady and it’s from the hundreds of people who have donated, supported and carried our efforts that have made it happen. This challenge still supports it's original values, but we’ve taken a very small re-direction, we wanted to not only celebrate Poppy and Alder Hey but we wanted to turn our focus on the celebration of all of the little hearts that went to the stars too soon.
Sadly, although we would love the world to change and every heart grow old, it will unfortunately never be the case so we’re here to celebrate them. To celebrate every single little heart, no matter how small. Because their lives are the most precious, the most unique, the lives that need to be shouted from the roof tops, the lives that still matter. So yes, we’re The Poppy Rocket Challenge, but we’re here for every little heart. So come along, take on a challenge, have fun, support Alder Hey and most importantly, Celebrate with all of the love in the world.
